Frequently asked questions
The Mindset Profiler™, programmes and advisory, data and privacy, delivery and timelines. If you don’t see your question, start a conversation.
What is the Mindset Profiler™?
The Mindset Profiler™ is a validated psychometric that measures the fixed-mindset triggers shaping how people respond under pressure - across eight trigger dimensions. It takes about fifteen minutes and is benchmarked against more than 90,000 workplace profiles across 500+ organisations in 40+ countries.
How is it different from other growth-mindset assessments?
Most tools return a single “growth” or “fixed” label. The Mindset Profiler™ measures fixed-mindset triggers - the specific, situational patterns that activate self-protection at work - and does so with a workplace dataset built over 15 years, not an education-research questionnaire repurposed for organisations.
Is the science behind growth mindset actually robust?
It is a fair question. Some widely-cited meta-analyses find weak effects for the popularised, education-based version of growth mindset. GMI’s work is a different evidence class: a workplace, psychometrically-validated approach focused on measurable fixed-mindset triggers and the conditions that hold growth behaviours in place - backed by 15 years and 90,000+ workplace profiles. See The Science and the Mindset Profiler™ methodology for the detail.
What programmes and advisory do you offer?
Mindset-capability programmes from foundation through to leadership, and mindset-led advisory for culture, customer and AI transformation. Engagements typically begin with a Mindset Profiler™ diagnostic and are designed around how people actually change - individual practice through to the systems and culture that hold new behaviour in place.
How does an engagement work?
Most engagements move through four stages: a Mindset Profiler™ diagnostic, a designed programme or advisory plan, delivery with leaders and teams, and embedding the change into systems and culture so it holds. See How an engagement works for what to expect and how to start.
How do you handle data and privacy?
We collect only what is needed, secure it with technical and organisational measures, and process Mindset Profiler™ data in line with the Australian Privacy Act and applicable privacy law. The Mindset Profiler™ is GDPR compliant. Analytics is consent-gated (denied by default). Our Privacy and Cookie policies set out the detail, including how the Profiler’s automated scoring uses personal information.
What are the delivery modes and timelines?
Programmes run in-person, virtually, or blended, and scale from a single team to an enterprise rollout across multiple regions. Timelines depend on scope; a Profiler diagnostic can be in field in days, while culture work runs over months. We will scope a realistic plan in a first conversation.
How do we get started?
Take the Mindset Profiler™ to see the triggers shaping your people, or start a conversation about a pilot, programme or advisory engagement.
